Thankful Tuesdays: A different December

December has always been a busy month on our side, since both hubby and my birthdays fall in this last month of the year. Couple this with the festivities of Christmas and the approach of the new year, it translates into a rather crazy time.

We are also hosting the hubby's parents, sister and nephew this month, so things are looking even busier. However, I do want to take time to rest and reflect as 2012 draws to a close, so blogging this month would be different. Instead of having the usual posts on learning, reading and crafts (which take quite abit of time to write!), I'll be popping in for a short while everyday to give thanks for something. There might be the occasional post about what we're learning or doing, but this month we're focusing on gratefulness. This year is certainly a wonderful year to be grateful about!

And speaking of which, I would like to invite you to join us in being thankful, by taking time to count one blessing a day, and capturing a photograph of that blessing:

To share those blessings and encourage those around you in this habit of gratefulness, you can also:

:: Share the list above, as well as your photos on Instagram (if you are an Instagrammer!), while adding the hashtag #thankfultodaymm, plus the hashtag for the word/phrase for the day.

:: Post those photos in your blog, journal a little about those blessings, and link back here (I will add a weekly linky here for the entire month, and you can find the linky button at the sidebar on the right). It can be a daily post, or even a once a week post collating the week's photos. You don't need to have a photo for every day to link up, just start looking and counting those blessings! (Use old photos if you need to!)

I hope you'll join me in being grateful as we approach the end of 2012!

As for this week, we give thanks to God for a good trip, where the hubby managed to learn quite alot during his attachment. And I am also very grateful for journey mercies, as well as time spent with family doing the simple things like feeding the ducks. I am looking forward to a fresh new month ahead too. What about you? What are you thankful for this week?
